MIT researchers have unveiled some new tech: BrightMarker
BrightMarker is an invisible fluorescent tag or QR code that can be applied to 3D-printed objects for hidden tracking.
Using easily visible QR codes brings security risks, and they can be easily tampered with (plus when it comes to video - you see them).
These hidden tags can be seen with infrared cameras. Hidden from view but trackable with a camera.
Beyond VP and virtual reality tracking, there are wider uses such as package and supply train tracking.
